Battery position

The battery position can vary quite a lot between different e-bikes. The most common positions are on the down tube – in other words the diagonal tube between the head tube (the one with the handlebars at the top) and the pedal crank; in/on the luggage carrier, which has a specially design pocket where you insert the battery; behind or in front of the saddle post, or simply integrated into the frame. The choice of battery position makes a difference to the overall design and where the e-bike’s centre of gravity is.
