Ecoride takes theft protection for e-bikes to a new level with advanced technology and GPS tracking integrated directly into the bike frame. Ecoride Safe offers a complete solution that combines smart technology with everyday peace of mind. With the service, you can track your bike in real time and stay protected if anything happens.

If your bike is stolen, simply file a police report and submit a claim to Ecoride. Once the case is approved, you will receive a new equivalent Ecoride bike – with no deductible.
What does Ecoride Safe include?
Ecoride Safe gives you access to the Ecoride Connect app, which together with the built-in GPS technology provides full visibility and control over your bike. Through the app, you can:
Track your bike in real time and see exactly where it is
Monitor battery status and better plan your rides
Receive notifications and service reminders directly in the app
Activate and deactivate the bike’s alarm
This combination of technology and protection ensures you always stay in control – whether you use your bike daily or leave it parked.
The service applies to e-bikes with integrated technology, including Ambassador 4, Tripper 4, and Loader 812, Loader 802, and Loader 806.
Subscription and servicesThrough the Ecoride Connect app, you can choose between two subscriptions depending on your needs:
Ecoride Track gives you access to GPS tracking and basic app functionality.
Ecoride Safe provides an extended solution with both tracking and theft protection, offering a complete peace-of-mind experience so you can use your bike with greater confidence.
1. Validity and scope1.1 Who the service applies to
Ecoride Safe applies to private individuals who have purchased a new Ecoride bike and activated the subscription. The service is linked to the registered bike and the user who activated it.
1.2 When the service applies
The theft protection becomes active once the bike is registered and the subscription is activated. The service remains valid as long as the subscription is active and paid, for up to 3 years from the date of purchase. If the subscription ends earlier, the protection ends at the same time.
1.3 Where the service applies
Ecoride Safe is valid in Norway.
1.4 What is covered
The service covers theft of the entire e-bike, provided it is registered and has an active subscription. In approved cases, Ecoride will provide a new equivalent bike. Compensation is not provided in cash.
1.5 Deductible
There is no deductible for approved theft cases.
1.6 Exclusions
The service does not cover:
Damage or vandalism
Theft of individual parts or components
Any indirect costs arising in connection with the theft
1.7 Limitations
Ecoride Safe can be used a maximum of two times per person, regardless of the number of active subscriptions.
2.1 In case of theft
If the bike is stolen, this must be reported to Ecoride without unnecessary delay. To receive a replacement bike, you must submit both a police report and a claim.
Once approved, Ecoride will provide a new equivalent bike.
2.2 Security requirements
To ensure the theft protection applies, you must exercise reasonable care and store your bike properly. This includes:
The bike must be locked with an approved lock when left unattended
The alarm function must be activated in the app
The battery must not be left unlocked on the bike
Failure to meet these requirements may reduce or void your right to compensation.
2.3 Incorrect information or misuse
Providing incorrect information or acting with gross negligence may reduce or void your right to compensation.
2.4 Payment and termination
The subscription is billed monthly. If payment is not completed, the service will be terminated and the protection will cease.
2.5 Force majeure
Ecoride is not responsible for circumstances beyond its control, such as natural events, government actions, or other extraordinary situations.
2.6 Personal data
Ecoride processes personal data in accordance with applicable regulations. The data is used to manage the service, fulfill the agreement, and improve the customer experience.
