For only 139 SEK/month, you receive Ecoride's exclusive theft insurance, which includes IoT technology integrated directly into the bike frame. If your Ecoride is stolen, simply file a police report, and within five days, you will receive a completely new Ecoride – with no deductible.
Ecoride Safe includes Ecoride Connect, which, through the integrated IoT technology in the bike frame, allows you to track your bike in real-time, monitor battery status, and receive service reminders via an app.
With Ecoride Safe, we offer a completely new insurance that provides added security for your new Ecoride e-bike. This applies only to our e-bikes with IoT technology, including the Ambassador 4, Tripper 4, and Loader 4 Longtail.
1. INSURANCE VALIDITY AND COVERAGE1.1 Who the insurance covers
This insurance is a mandatory group insurance for individuals who have subscribed to Ecoride Safe in connection with purchasing a new bike from Ecoride. Ecoride is the policyholder and group representative according to a separate group agreement.
1.2 When the insurance applies
The insurance covers damage during the time the insurance is active (insurance period). The insurance coverage is activated by registering your bike on "My Page" as instructed on Ecoride's website and app. The insurance remains valid for the duration of your active Ecoride Safe subscription, provided the premium is paid, but no more than three years from the bike’s purchase date. If your subscription ends before three years, the insurance coverage will also cease.
1.3 Where the insurance applies
The insurance is valid in Sweden.
1.4 What the insurance covers
The insurance covers theft of an e-bike that has been registered and has an active Ecoride Safe subscription. In the event of theft, a new equivalent bike will be provided by Ecoride, as detailed in section 2.1.
1.5 Deductible
This insurance applies without a deductible.
1.6 Exclusions
The insurance does not cover:
Vandalism
Theft of individual parts
Indirect damage or additional costs related to the theft
1.7 Limitation
The insurance can be used a maximum of two times per individual, even if multiple subscriptions have been taken out.
2.1 Actions in the event of damage
Damage must be reported immediately to Ecoride. To receive compensation from this insurance, the theft must also be reported to the police.

Once the damage is approved, you are entitled to a new equivalent bike from Ecoride. Cash compensation is not provided by this insurance.
2.2 Security and precaution requirements
To qualify for compensation, the insured must show normal care and vigilance to prevent damage or loss. If security requirements or precautionary measures are not followed, compensation may be reduced. In case of severe negligence, compensation may be completely denied.
The insured bike and battery must be locked with at least one certified and approved lock according to the Swedish Theft Protection Association (SFF).
The battery must not be left on the bike when you park it.
The battery may be left on the bike for a short time, provided it is locked.
2.3 Causing damage or providing false information
The insurance will not apply if you intentionally caused or worsened the damage. If the damage was caused by gross negligence, compensation may be reduced. If you or anyone else seeking compensation provides false or withheld information regarding the claim, compensation may be reduced or denied.
2.4 Limitation period
If you want to claim insurance compensation, you must file a lawsuit within three years from when you became aware of the claim, and in any case, within ten years from when the claim could have first been made.
2.5 Premium payment
The premium is paid by the policyholder (Ecoride). If the payment is missed, the insurer has the right to terminate the insurance according to the Insurance Contracts Act (2005:104).
2.6 Force majeure
The insurer is not responsible for damage caused directly or indirectly by war, warlike events, civil war, military exercises, revolution, riots, terrorism, rebellion, nuclear processes, government actions, strikes, blockades, or similar events.

The insurance intermediary is covered by mandatory liability insurance according to the Insurance Distribution Act (2018:1219).
